I have integrated fitness into my life from the young age of 17. Like most men of that age, it started out as a way to just get bigger muscles. However, the more I learned, the more I became obsessed with learning how to properly train the body for various goals and outcomes.

Learning the mechanics of the body and being able to help others move and perform better is a testament to my determination to help others.

I have completed part of my education in the Exercise Science program at UNCC and finished my Bachelors of Health Sciences at Arizona State University. My love for athletics has led me to working with athletes of all backgrounds including tennis, hockey and golf. More than anything, the desire to help anyone that needs it is the driving factor behind my work.

I have been passionate about health and fitness for as long as I can remember. In 2018, I decided to turn this personal passion into a profession as a Certified Personal Trainer where I earned my certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Since then, I have continued my education earning specializations in both MMA Conditioning and Performance Enhancement. 

As a trainer, I take a functional and total body approach to fitness and pride myself on pushing clients to stretch their perceived limitations while also meeting them where they’re at in their fitness journey. Teaching for over 15 years I continue to learn, grow and develop a deeper appreciation for the method of movement. Pilates plays an integral part in everyday life. Teaching others, developing relationships and building upon their needs to age actively, improve strength, foster flexibility is why I truly enjoy working in the fitness industry.

Health and fitness were at the forefront of my childhood, regularly competing in gymnastics, dance, and track. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Education and a minor in Exercise Science from Virginia Tech and also hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Radford University. 

After years of teaching many forms of group exercise, I discovered Pilates, which helped me rehabilitate an injury while training for triathlons. Recognizing the beauty of the Method and its holistic approach to movement helped me complete a Pilates mat certification in 2011, followed by a 500 hour comprehensive equipment Pilates training program from Balancepoint Pilates in 2014. That same year I became a National Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) – a prestigious international certification recognized for its high standing credentials.

I traded life on a cotton farm to become a dancer and aerialist. I began teaching aerial arts in 2008 through Revolve Aerial Dance, a company I founded in Salt Lake City. A graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) Pro-Track Program, I wrote the Aerial Teacher’s Handbook and then directed Born to Fly Teacher Trainings and Support where I trained aerial instructors across the country. I was also a college dance professor in aerial and contemporary dance for seven years. 

A back injury led me to study at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO in 2017 and I have been teaching Pilates ever since. I am now studying to become a physical therapist and hope to work with performing artists. I enjoys teaching movement for any goal or aspiration, whether to perform or just have fun!

I graduated from the esteemed Aveda Institute in Orlando, FL in 2010 and have been passionately immersed in the study and practice of massage ever since.
